A few pics of Bela :)
One of my bp's hadn't been doing so well lately. She had a burn that had been healing nicely and then starting getting yucky. She also hadn't eaten in a while.

The vet wasn't too worried about her. He said she was a lovely snake with a great temperment. He gave me a anti-bacterial solution to soak her in with advice on how to get her to eat. I was supposed to take her back next Monday to see if it that was all that was needed or if we were going to have to inject her with anti-biotics. The burn was actually looking better, but I still couldn't get her to eat.

I came home last night and she had died.

Sorry to hear that i have had a ball python die on me and its heart breaking. At least even for a little while she had an owner that cared for her in the end. You did all you can to bring her back to health and thats probibly the most anyone has done for her in her life.

    Best wishes to you.

It always hurts when they pass away. I am sorry for your loss. I lost it when my first bp, a female, got out and was found by us frozen in our basement. I cried for her more than when my cat died.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I too know how you feel, I lost my first bp after about a month. My thoughts are with you.

I'm very sorry. I hate it for you. It's not been long since a ball python in my household passed away of a respiratory infection, and we were all quite upset.

Maybe This Poem Will help you feel better... Its called " The Rainbow Bridge "

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.

There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.

The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together
