My male does this, and he tail wags. I had to see him probed/popped after that, just to be sure... little weirdo.

Males can't tail wag like a female, mostly they just raise their tail up and cruise about the tub.
I have never seen a male swish their tail back and forth dragging sex organs about scenting like a female, but who knows maybe there is some metro-sexual ball pythons :O
