I have about $1700 dollars to use for snakes/reptiles. That also has to be for caging and food. What project would you pick? And what are some pros and cons?

Crested geckos are awesome pets in my opinion, I have two and they are great. You should still look up what they are like and see if they are what you want.:)

Actually, preferably snakes. But I will consider the other options. The $1700 has to cover probably a 1.1 pair and caging for the species. And food for my entire collection of 4 current snakes

X2 you're still being REALLY broad.... we could say you could set up for toads... or geckos... or pythons... Or hog noses... Each has their own 'cool factor' in their own way... You need to figure out which is your passion, which do you WANT to care for and work with? These are living animals we're talking about, not collecting baseball cards :)

Something that not many people have. I already have 3 normal hognoses, 4 corns, a black rat snake in my herp club and a few ball pythons. I like something that gets kinda big and has some attitude.
