This Breeding stuff is hard...
4 of my girls all had good locks for the last 3 to 6 months....now they all look big and some of them have shed a couple of times already ..3 out of 4 stopped eating....1 of them shed 29 days ago and i thought i saw the signs {new to this only had 1 clutch last year} looked last night and the tail looked real short and fat...today it looks real long...she has shed twice in the last 3 months...what do u guys think eggs soon..
Re: This Breeding stuff is hard...
I too only had one clutch last year and i honestly had no clue she was gonna lay eggs till i woke up one morning to 6 big plump eggs the best thing to do is just not pay attention to all the signs of if she is going to lay i have 3 girls going this year and i just keep throwing males at them from week to week and when they pop they pop i dont know maybe i have too much patience i dont even count sheds or anything like that i know they all recently shed but i dont know if that means they will lay, ovulate, or just be a pain in the rear all i do know is that they stink to high heavens right now and need a good cleaning.

Are you not supposed to clean the tank when your trying to breed them? I didn't know that if thats the case.
