    Two questions
Two pretty much unrelated questions but I'll bundle into one thread..

First I've read a. Lot about RI and the early signs.. Wheezing whistling bubbly mouth but what about scale rot? That seems to be the "other" big issue they can have.. What are early signs and what to look for? Pics would b great. Im. Googling this after I post..

Second question.. I know snakes can self regulate their temps. But my 150g girl tends to prefer the cold side unless she just ate then it's one day on the warm side and back to the cold hide.. Temps are spot on.. 78-82 cold 84-90 hot and hot spot of 92 humidity at 55-65%.

Reason I ask this is when I pull her out of her cold hide to handle her she is cool to the touch.. Not cold like ur fingers after shoveling your driveway but cold like u just washed ur hands with cold water.

Pink scales, red edges, raised scales, especially on the belly. Usually happens when the cage is really soggy or really dirty for an extended period of time, so just watch your snakes and keep 'em clean. They'll probably be fine - even if they are starting to get scale rot, a clean cage and a good shed usually takes care of it no problem.

If your girl is hanging out on the cold side and eating and otherwise acting normally, I wouldn't worry about it. Some snakes just like it cooler! She may also prefer the hiding place on the cool side, so that's worth checking as well. Try just swapping the sides that the hides are on.

Hides are the same.. Salsa dish from Walmart that I cut an opening in..

Just worries me cuz she feels cold to me... An I know low temps make her more prone to RI but I would hope she's smart enogh to go to the warm side if she needs to..

She had a party last night.. Must have been wild cuz all the aspen is pushed to the edges one hide was on its side jammed between the lid an floor and the other hide was spun 180 deg do the opening was facing the opposite way
