Cool surprise!

So I bought a beautiful yellow tiger dalmation crested gecko a few months ago. Yesterday I discovered 2 eggs in the bottom of my terarrium! I was so surprised since I don't have any males but I guess she was paired up before I bought her. This is the first time I've ever tried to incubate anything besides BP eggs so any tips are welcome. The breeder I bought her from have me some pretty simple instructions. I put them in a deli cup with some vermiculite and keeping at room temp 72-75 with lid inside my terarium. I hope they hatch! So exciting!

Pretty girl you've got there! Good luck incubating those; be neat to see if they're fertile & what hatches out if they go full-term. Best of luck with them! :gj:

Thanks! Yes I'm very interested to see what the babies look like if they hatch. I have no idea what the male looks like, but from what I've read, crested genetics can yield very random results.

sweet buy 1 get 2 free! lol i dont know about cresties but with my leos i incubate at 78-80 for females and 87-90 for the first 21 days and cool to 85 for the remainder to get males. I also use an empty hatchling tub to set my deli cups in. put them near the heat for males and in the front for girls. works surprisingly well. lol

Wow that's crazy that the sex of the babies can be controlled by temp!

I thought so too but I listened to what I was told and successfully hatched 30+ geckos last year and everyone of them were correctly sexed by incubation temps. Now that's Leos. Idk about cresties. Also its just the first 21-23 days on the boys then you want to back it down to about 85 or you run the risk of affecting colors and neuro damage if you cook them to long.
