    Breed While Shedding?
Hey All. What do you guys do when your male or female is shedding? My male albino just started his cycle. Today is my first day of 3 on, 3 off. Should I wait until he's done? Thanks.

99% he won't breed during his cycle :). Females on the other hand breed even better when they are in shed (at least from my own observation :))

My females dont breed in shed but my male has locked up when he was in shed. I wait until my females are out of shed before I pair. My male seems to be a breeding champion though cuz he has locked with each female every time I have paired him. And he eats still too.

I have seen both my males and females breed while in shed. I would still pair him up...

I have seen the same but typically give my males a break during shed. Sometimes they start their shed cycle while they are with the female so I just let them be and move them out on my schedule.

My males never breed when in shed....NEVER. And the deeper in shed they are the less of a chance he is going to do anything. But yes, frmales on the other hand tend to breed even better! Especially if you have a male that knows what he is doing!

I agree, my males won't do anything in any stage of shed but my females will lock.

I usually only pair mine for a couple days once a shed cycle. For funsies I put my clown male in with his girlfriend when both of them were DEEP in blue. They both locked up no problem... but they also both eat in shed too.

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll just give him the week off. Still plenty of time to breed.
