    BP Collection Ideas?
K so I did post something earlier on here about the price of a lesser, but I recently found out that my budget has been increased significantly (aprox. $4300 CAD). So I was wondering what animals should I get? I'm looking to get 4-5 animals, maybe more and I was thinking Lesser, Mojave and a Black Pastel? What do you guys think? What would you guys purchase to start a really awesome collection? Thanks in advance and sorry if this was the wrong place to put this xD

I'd start off with 3-4 awesome females...double gene or along the lines of an Orange Dream....then save for the next 2 years and buy an awesome male.

I started off my first year by collecting as many females as possible. I bought lots of normals, pastels, lessers, calicoes, pinstripes, fires, spiders and a couple of other females like a Mojave, firefly, and an enchi, etc. I got base morphs or combos and as much as I could afford. Then when the females are getting close to breeder size, buy a couple of nice males and you will have a shot at more eggs. Sure, you could get a couple of really nice girls, but I personally wanted to set myself up for the future. Good luck! :)

Females: pastel lesser, bumble bee, couple het pieds
    Males: firefly, Patel calico, pied

It all depends what you wasn't to do. If you want to be a breeder it will take you down a different path towards what is selling and where the market is heading. If it's just for a hobby figure out what you like and work with them to produce what you like.

Instead of buying a bunch of single gene snakes i would get a couple multi gene males. then get a few ready to breed normal girls.

Get 4-5 NICE double gene females now, raise them up for 3 years. Then get a male triple gene and put him to them.

Depends on your preferences and if you want to breed or not. Tastes can change as well.

If I was in your position(at this moment) I would start with some form of Bee, Pied, Albino, Super Pastel.

Perhaps even a black pewter, saw a pic of one in another thread and started drooling.

Of course, that is how I would start. Go with what you like and what attracts you.

Good luck with your endeavor. :D

I do have yet to decide wether to breed my plan was to start off with a few snakes and once they reached that time I would make my decision to breed, I mean they'd always be pets and all, and I probably wouldn't breed for many clutches because they would more then likely (at this point) all be really cool pets. Yes I realize they be a lot of work and this is why I haven't decided wether to breed or not but I would like to get snakes with the genetics so I have that option :)
