    need help with feeding....
Ghana, one of my female's that we got last month will not touch f/t rat fuzzies. She will only eat live. Our problem is that we do not have a local place to always get live. What is the easiest way to switch to f/t. My male and other female are eating them well....please need some advise. We dont have the space to keep/breed live rats either :(

How warm are the rats? Mine was feeding live from a breeder and she took ft right away. But I have to heat up the rat to 100 degrees for her to eat since that is what a rat's body temperature is.

Just keep offering F/T. She'll probably accept when she gets hungry enough. Maybe go a week or two without offering at all to get her really ready for a meal.

Try prescenting for an hour or so before you feed her. If you can put the rat someplace close where she can be smelling it long before she can have it, you might get a better feeding response.

I have one that im trying to switch over right now also. Some are stubborn & refuse. I think you just have to hold your ground & not give in and feed live which is hard for a new owner to do. Just continue to offer f/t weekly. eventually your lil one will decide its hungry enough to take it.
