Getting started

Alright y'all I have recently decided to get a bearded dragon as I have never owned a reptile and I feel as an animal lover I should. I have been doing some serious research into the matter but I have one question I am unsure of?
I was reading about the diet when I came across a blog talking about pellet food that has all the nutrients and good stuff that a bearded dragon would need. It sounds much easier but my question is does it work? Is it just as good as the actual diet of insects and greens? Has anyone out there used it?!!

With that being asked I have one more question... how is the temperament of a bearded dragon? I have read various stories about them but I was just wondering what kind of personality these guys can express? I love animals with personality:)!!!

I wouldn't feed my bearded dragon that stuff. Some are better than others, but a real diet will be best for them.

Bearded dragons make great pets, they are friendly and don't scare as easily as many reptiles do. As with any animal some will be more aggressive than others, but overall they are very docile.

Most bearded dragons will only eat moving insects. Crickets, dubia roaches(or other feeder roaches) and mixed greens with vitamin powder should be his main staple diet. I use Herptivite as it has many vitamins. Also meal worms or superworms can be offered but not as often.
