    Shades of black...
Fun comparison of two SSTP girls.

This is Sambuca, a chrome-headed SSTP in her dark phase. Normally her head is extremely light, nearly platinum in color. She throws both chrome-head and black-head kiddos.

This is Pitch, a black-headed SSTP female. She doesn't have a light phase and is a sleek, oily black 100% of the time. She throws black-headed offspring, no chromeheads (so far). We even put an extra flash on her for this photo to show how dark she is - hard to wash this one out! :)

Same can be said for the Borneos, too. Both of the STP species are such ridiculously awesome snakes that are passed over in favor of flashy red blood pythons & their morphs...at least there are those who DO understand what gems these short-tailed beauties really are. More for the rest of us! ;)

Those are both stunning animals, wow! In a few years, with a little more experience under my belt, I'll be looking at getting one of those beauties! Thanks for sharing, awesome to see such impressive animals.

A black STP will be my first "blood." I hope it'll be nice and chrome too.
