Ok so what everyone think of my home made setup total cost including the herpstat + im at about 175. 200 if u include the hides and another heat pad in not using.. This was my first shot at a home built enclosure n I figure I can prolly keep her in here for about 9 months.. Just added the aspen bedding tonight cuz she's going to shed soon and I have a hard time keeping humidity and temps up at the same time http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/8748/imageqap.jpg

Please excuse the pop cans have to clean up.. The bottled water is for her haha only the best! Found out she does not like being in water to much as when I was putting her back in after cleaning up and putting the aspen in she struck at the heat lamp and launched out of my hand.. Landed in the water bowl and kinda started freaking out haha

P.s. only launched and fell maybe 4 inches

    What's that made out of?

Aspen is not the best for keeping humidity up, it can mold pretty easy.

Have you tried reptibark? You can also get some moss from the pet store. Put it in her warm hide and wet it down really good.

Heard the horror stories of bark and being swallowed So I went with the fine aspen.. Going to try n see how it goes only need to bump it about 10 percent cuz she's going to shed soon she's getting dull..

Its made out of .100" acrylic and aluminum angle iron...

The hides are "salsa" dishes from wal Mart found them by the food scales.. 1$ each and about 5 min to carve the opening

For feeding I plan on pulling whichever hide she isn't in and laying down a paper towel b4 I drop the mouse in for her

I left a gap between the top of aluminum and the top of the walls just big enough so the top slides in and out

I was wondering how it opens. Pretty cool, never seen one like that.
