It's alright... It really depends on you and what you prefer to do. I am naturally lazy, so I hate cardio. Proper strength training (P90X) actually is probably better for losing weight AND building muscle mass at the same time. Insanity will build some muscle if you are weak, but it is mainly geared towards working the type 1 muscles that are geared towards endurance, not mass.

I do like the diet they include in the insanity workout though. The diet plan rocks.

I need the endurance part :) I'm in firefighting school so endurance is big I'm in good shape already I'm the tall thin build with broad shoulders I can carry decent amount :) it's just going for long distances is hard since I just quit smoking

Then you will do well with Insanity. I can hardly make it through 3/4 of any insanity workout. Its tough but you feel great afterward. I prefer strength training. It does the same thing just with less jumping around and being loud :P

Insanity works....but it gets very old because even though there's 12 or so different DVDs, it seems like every one is the same workout and same moves. Regardless, it's a great workout so have a big towel to wipe all that sweat off.

Depends on what your goal is if it will "work" or not.

I've tried P90X before, pretty tough workout. Never tried Insanity, though.
