How many lockups do you have before you get ovulation?

Was wondering as breeding season goes on how many lock ups should new breeders expect before seeing ovulation?

Cant really put an answer to this question because many locks can go unseen.

It's not really that predictable. I've seen no locks and no ovy and the female produced 7 eggs. I've also seen multiple 24+ hour locks and no eggs. You want to keep an eye out for their shed cycles and try to see an ovy based on that.

its one of those things that are hard to tell. they are just like people in that area. you have couples that have gotten pregnant during their 1st time and others that have been trying for years before they got lucky.

I shoot for 1-3 visual, recordable locks (recordable cause I saw it)
