Just got a new foster BP, his body feels hard?
So most of my snakes are undergoing a cooling period, and I had some room for QT space, so I recently opened my home to 2 foster snakes, one corn and one BP. The BP is est. to be 5 years old, but is only about 2 feet long. His body also feels very solid, and rather stiff, which is totally unlike my own bp... who is very "muscle-y" but normal feeling. I know its hard to describe X_X
My friend who is a vet tech mentioned that maybe he needed to poop, so I upped his humidity and will soak him tonight and do the massage downwards that I have read about, but do you guys think there might be something else going on?
I can't take him to the vet until I find out which vet I am supposed to go to for fosters, but if you guys think there is something up, I definitely will make sure that is top priority (I'm working on finding out now but the woman in charge is hard to get ahold of...I'll bug the heck out of her though if its important).
Thanks!

Re: Just got a new foster BP, his body feels hard?
Does he feel hard in general or just when you hold him? I've noticed my bp sometimes feels very stiff when I hold him, like his body feels rock hard to the touch. He never balls out of fear, ever. The only time I've ever even seen him coil up is when he's sleeping... I've figured out that the rock hard feeling is him tensing up when he's nervous or getting stressed, almost like tightening his muscles to coil but staying straight or semi wrapped.
