Albino's eyesight

I have noticed that my albino usually misses her first, and sometimes second strike at the rat. I started to wonder if maybe its something to do with her eyesight? Or maybe just because she is young and still learning. Or maybe because she is striking from inside the hide, to outside? She seems to see me fine, when I get her out and such, so I have no idea. Maybe I'm reading more into it, and worrying about nothing. But I have never had any other babies miss like that. Anybody else with an albino notice anything like that? Maybe its has to do with the pink/red eyes?

My Albino rarely misses a strike. Are you feeding him live, or f/t ?

They all eat live. It just seems strange. She is pretty shy, wonder if that may also have something to do with it.

All 3 of our albino's eat as normal as any other, rarely missing a rat when striking.
They may not have the best eye sight but it doesn't seem to hinder them in any way that I've noticed.

I asked this same question awhile ago :D Mine eats f/t and it usually takes her a try or two to get it. Her 'accuracy' and overall feed response has gotten a lot better since I started heating up the prey better though.

My albino never misses. But as far as I am aware, they use their heat pits to sense prey.

Keep in mind that eye sight isn't really a major factor. Eyeless balls can strike and feed fine without missing.

when i first got one of my girls she would miss every once in a while. there was one time when she missed FOUR times before she got it. that time i started to get kind of worried, but she hasn't missed a strike in months. she seems to have grown out of it. i just figured she was still learning.

She must just still be "learning", I'm probably worrying for nothing. As long as she's eating, nothing to really worry about. Thanks for reassuring me it wasn't an "albino" thing, lol, just a "Jade" thing. :p. Hopefully she will get more accurate.
