    Feeding during breeding?
Do you guys feed the same size meals as long as the females will take them during the breeding season? And how often do you feed them? Ive heard if u feed them too much or too big of meals its not good for the follicles and they may become egg bound. Just to add My heat tape stays at 90 degrees. And one other question. Do smaller females(500 grams or so) tend to go off food if you cool your ambient temps down for the season? I got a snake who was eating like a champ and she not even interested in food now and she just shed so im suprised. Thanks guys

I can answer a part of your question .. I have 1500g+ females that i started breeding a few weeks ago (most of them went off feed a little before that) .. I do however have 2 600g-ish females that have kept eating through the whole cooling down process .. so I guess the cooling doesn't really affect them if they want to eat .. if they don't however they will stop :)

We feed smediums(small mediums) to our largest girls during breeding season, smalls to the mid-sized girls and weanlings to the smaller breeding females.

Smaller snakes can definitely be effected by lowering ambient temps.
To combat that we keep out hot spots at 93-95 so it doesn't effect them so much, if at all.

Yep, I feed smaller rats during breeding season, usually small rats.

I'm feeding as usual. All the girls are getting large rats as long as they are eating. We had a few not eat for the last two weeks and we try to feed every week. Males are fed every other week.
