    Registered Breeder?
    Hi,

I live in Nova Scotia, Canada and have been wondering how someone goes about becoming a "registered snake breeder"? I've heard conflicting ideas. Some say there is no license to breed/sell snakes, while some say there are. I know the majority of users of this site are American, but any help would be appreciated :) I'm interested in creating my own reptile business down the road and would like to officially call myself a registered breeder.

    Thanks :)

I don't know anything about Canadian laws but in the US it varies greatly state by state...you might want to try starting with your regional fish/wildlife/game department or look into your national wildlife agency (sorry have no clue what it would be called for you guys).

In the US federally it goes back to 3 primary departments depending on what we are dealing with animal wise...Dept of Interior, Dept of Agriculture, or Dept of Commerce.
