Maybe it's a pewter thing! Nancy the Attack Snake is also a pewter:

(She's mostly calmed down since she was a baby, but she's still sometimes bitey in shed. And she still remembers how to make it hurt.)

ps. your pewter looks almost axanthic. Is she a cinny or a black pewter? And how old is she?

Thats one angry puppy! Does she have a good feeding response? And do you ever manage to pick her up safely?

    Good luck with her!!!

She's a cinny, hatched in early October. Her floaters are actually a cream yellow color, just bad lighting here.

Old pic, but shows her color.

    (Edit: Had hatch date wrong)

She's probably my best feeder, no hesitation at all. Handling her is no problem, just don't put her down, haha.

I have an Onyx baby that is just as bad as your girl. Maybe October makes naughty snakes. But the little guy chows food, anything dead or alive. Heck he will eat them still squeaking :-/
But he will try to get you square in the face while your holding him. Have been throwing names around, will either be Black Snapper or Darth Plague

I love it when they are like this as babies. Usually, they are fantastic feeders and grow quickly. They do settle down later.
