I've used it with my reps for years and haven't had any issues. Like most things some like it for what ever reason and some don't. Go with what ever works for you, there are different types of substrates some more popular than others just go with what works for you and yours.

I've started using it after i had shedding issues with my House snakes... Is very fine grinded coco husk substrate... Pros Great look in natural terrariums... bumps humidity a lot... great for spot cleaning... You can reuse it as flower pot stuff...
Cons... is very fine so stick to rodents... i dont have indigestion problems so far but sometimes I'm concerned...
Secondly afret misting it smells ...hmmm.. earthy ?? Yea I believe is best description of that smell... not everybody will like it

Re: Eco Earth?
so if I do switch to eco earth should I feed outside the tank? because I think im going to either switch to that or spagnum moss but moss is so expensive... What if I just keep it on aspen but add some moist spagnum to one of the hides? Just had a bad shed and im trying to avoid that again but these heat lamps are just pulling out all the humidity.

I have used it for ages as well.
Pros - looks good, holds more humidity than anything, no mould, and it is way cheap (depending on where the price varies HUGELY.)
Cons, messy, it gets everywhere. Although that said I have also used care fresh it is just as bad.
