What are these new white marks??
I'm not sure if this has anything to do with breeding, but these showed up right after her last shed..which I believe was her pre-ov shed. She has been locking up with a Lesser since Sept. She is a virgin 2009 female Mojave.

I have never seen this before and have raised this girl from a hatchling. These white marks showed up right after this girls last shed and have stayed for a couple weeks now. What might these be?

p.s.... I have read other posts where people have seen color changes in their ball pythons scales and have seen ideas that it was due to fecal matter left in the tub touching the snake. That is certainly not the case here. Just FYI...

    Any ideas?

That's definitley interesting, maybe she's just going through a weird color change? Keep us updated if it changes next time she sheds!

I bred a normal girl last year that had something similar happen...she came out of her pre-ov shed with a big spot on her head that had never been there before. Not that this will help at all figuring out what causes it....

That is awesome! I love when things like that show up in the "glow". It's most likely from the glow before she goes. Very cool.

I was wondering if it had something to do with that... Does stuff like that happen often when females go into glow? I have never seen it before.

Lighter spots have shown up on a good percentage of my females when they really get into the glow. Nothing has been permanent, though. I wish it would, cause I really like those light spots.
