Weird Ball Python feeding situation. Any Help?
I got a female ball python in a trade in october that hasn't eaten for me yet. She strikes at the rodent like she is ineterested but then backs away and hisses. I have tried frozen and live she does the same thing, never completes the strike and eats. I have tried leaving the rodent in to but still nothing, however she is very aggressive to where I have to use a snake hook. Any suggestions to get her feeding?

well first off check your husbandry, make sure ur temps and humidity is correct, make sure u have good hides, make sure she isnt in too big of an enclosure.... and second leave her alone for a bit give her a week off with no interruptions watsoever not even to offer food... other than that she should eat

It's actually pretty common for adults to go off feed when they are shipped or change environment.
50% of the adults that I have bought or received for a breeding loan have gone of feed anywhere between 3 to 9 months.
There is not much that can be done except to make sure that the animal is healthy, your husbandry is optimal (you can try to provide a smaller than usual enclosure), and be patient.

OK thanks, I'm just not sure because everyone else is eating so husbundry is good. The one is even really aggressive but just won't wrap the rodent and eat. Guess I'll just keep trying and wait. Just worried don't want either of them to die.
