Ok so I come home from work today. Last feeding, I notice Amber's colors had dulled, and I remember she hadn't shed in about 5 weeks. So her eyes clouded today. I pick her up to make sure everything's ok, and I see this:

So I'm thinking this is just because she went into shed. However, I came back later on that night and ... the dent was gone. Anyone ever experience this???

it's an eye cap, which will most likely come off in shed. i guess the cap hadn't completely detatched from the eye yet.

Denting, even when in shed, is attributed to inadequate humidity levels. Bump up the humidity and it should be gone soon.

    WOO HOO!!!
Yeah I think what Will was saying was that the cap hadn't fully detached yet (2 layers creating the cavity of fluid that makes their eyes cloudy) and sometime today after I checked on him, it fully detached, and the dent fixed itself.

Also, humidity has been pretty constant at just over 50%. Now that she's in shed, i'm misting a few times a day plus a short soak at night.

Get her a humid hide. This will help alot. Sometimes i will spray the substrate under the hide right above the heat pad not too much because it may cause scale rot but just enough to mist the top layer of substrate as the water heats up and evaporates the humidity is increased this does the trick everytime. Jojo always gives a complete shed a few days after i do this.

Yeah I mean she's never had a bad shed, and I don't anticipate this one to be any different. It was just strange to see an eye dent that lasted all of 4-5 hours
