    B.B.'s Digs...
Some of you may have seen my posts in the Pics section of my new Ghost Male, B.B.

I figured I'd share a pic of him enjoying his new home:)

He is in a 12qt tub with a hide, fake plant, and water dish. Paper towel for the substrate.
He is currently sitting on a strip of 4" flexwatt that is running to a dimmer. The temps are being monitored
    with a digital thermometer w/probe.
I know the dimmer isn't ideal, but it will work until I get paid next and can order a thermostat :)

Pretty boring pictures I know...just a tub, but still thought I'd share :) Heck, I'll throw one of him in for fun:banana:

(Oh, and I know it seems bright in my room...but the overhead light is maybe on for 2 hours a day max...usually just
    a desk lamp)

Very nice boy! See if you can't cram in another hide, though. He'll really appreciate the choice!

I'd suggest that a second hide would be prudent. Often a BP will choose security over thermoregulation. two hides one on the cool side one on the warm don't force the animal to choose it can have both.

the dimmer will work like a back up if you keep the room temp the same, but i will start looking for some prop. thermostat, nice snake and nice setup on table :)

Question on fitting a second hide in there...he is about 250grams...and most suggestion on here say he is good in a 12qt up to 500 grams.
It is impossible to fit 2 hides (that he would fit it) and a water dish in a 12qt tub.

Do breeders squeeze all that into a 12 qt tub? Or for that matter, a 6qt tub when they are hatchlings?

Edit: Rebel, I am thinking about the Hydrofarm thermostat since I only have one snake right now...and it's only about $40 shipped...thankfully for now, my room temp stays fairly stable +-2 degrees most of the time. :D

the breeders put the tub in the rack so the rack itself work like a hide, you can try just cover the front & three sides of the tub with some dark paper

Thanks Rebel! I wonder if I could find some dark adhesive window tint stuff at wally world and cut it to fit...that way I can still
have the ventilation holes for the tubs poked through it :D
