She bit herself!
So I was feeding Andromeda her weekly meal last night when something odd happened. I dropped the rat on accident and before I could reposition the tongs to grab it she started to bite the floor. Then she bit the wall. And then she bit herself! I made the rat dance and she happily bit it once she realized that the mouse was food and she wasn't. Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes I have had a small snake get so excited to feed she bit her self, it happens.

Yep. There was this one time my baby girl had missed a feeding the week before so she was super hungry. The minute I put her in her feeding bin, she saw her tail moving and stuck for it instantly before I even lowered her mouse in. :P

Magnus bit himself twice last week, he was so excited over his first rat. He was in his beep-hug and couldn't really differentiate the rat from his body, I guess at that point everything in the tub smelled like rat, haha.

BP hug, ball python hug. Death coil, etc. He actually hasn't really worked all that hard in the past to "kill" his prey, as I feed F/T and I think he can tell, but he loved that rat.

Well its good to know that other people have silly snakes too. Thanks for making me not worried, I thought it might have been a sign of brain disease lol.
