Champagne question
I'm debating on what morph I want to add to the collection next and I'm really leaning toward champagne right now. I know that the champ gene pretty much visually dominates any other morph they're combined with, so I want to make sure that I'm starting with one of the nicest examples I can find. My question is, what do people generally look for in a champagne in terms of pattern and color? I've seen pics of champs that vary from having pretty much no pattern at all, to some that have a lot of spots down the back. I've also seen champs range in color from almost pinstripe color to almost white. Is there a commonly accepted "highest quality example" of the morph?
I already have one specific one that I've been looking at, but I wanted to get some feedback on this before I commit.

I like a lot of pattern and a real orangey like peachy color.

They vary so much for animal to animal I don't think there is a set standard of what a top notch Champagne should look like. Like Pieds and other morphs who's trait varies wildly it all comes down to what you like in a Champagne.

Thanks Ed. That's kinda what I was thinking myself, but I wanted to check with some others who have been into champs for a while.
*hint hint Dave Green... :D

I'm considering getting a champ as well, and it seems like the het ghost version of the champagnes are sooo gorgeous.. If I was going to pick up a champagne, it would be a champ het hypo from Dave Green. Definitely. Easily :gj:.

Well, you need to wait until I pick mine first... :rolleye2: I'm looking at a couple of his champs right now... :gj:

I used to like the ones that just had the pattern down their spine, the circles that look like bubbles. Now, after hatching a variety of them I really like the heavily patterned ones. But, it really comes down to personal choice.
