Really active BP's?

My temps re pretty good, cool side ambient at 78 and hot spot at 90-91.
I have recently removed Monty's (pastel) hides because he had reached 1200 grams, and although he seems more active, he still eats like a champ. Astrid (bumblebee) has a pair of hides because she is only ~450 grams and seems to use them quite frequently, but she is still commonly at the front of the tub. She also eats very well, and has never refused. Monty is eating an ~80 gram rat every 7 days and Astrid is eating 2 30 gram rats every 6 days. Why are they so active all of a sudden?

Anyone?

I am currently dealing with this too. The male I'd say is because he's trying to get out to look for a female. That's what mine is doing. My female who is about the same size as yours just started pushing but not nearly as often as the males. I figured she was just hungry or bored. I try to handle my snakes to give them something to do most days. If it becomes an issue with rub marks starting to appear on their noses, I'd block out the front of their tubs with a towel or something like that so that they cannot see the way out. Keep an eye on it but don't worry about it too much. You might try lowering the hot side by a degree but I don't think that's a big deal

Maybe they want a bigger sized prey item. I fed my snake 11-15% of hee body weight and for days she'll be roaming snd being relentless. Well not relentless but she was extrenely active. Bumped up the food to 17% and now she's very content in her hide! But then again my snake is let out to exercise frequently...

To me it looks like they're looking for air. Are there any holes punched in those tubs? Maybe not enough fresh air? Just a thought...

Unlikely, my big boy has been in there for about 9 months, and has always shed perfectly and never had any issues.

The 10-15% only applies to babies and juvies. That's overfeeding and huge for an adult.
