Handling your balls outside of their enclosure
I don't normally handle my bp's for more than a couple minutes but was wandering if there is harm being done if you sit on the couch for hours holding your snake in ambient temperatures under 75?

Nope...the only harm will come to your couch if they decide to relieve themselves...been there, done that...:rage:

x2 And DONT let them sneak off under the cushions bc getting them out of the mechanics of a rocking chair is not fun at all...

This is so true. :D Definitely something to keep in mind if you are planning on having your snake out for long periods of time and they have not done their business yet; I have also learned this the hard way more times than I would have liked to. IMO, keep a towel near by.. ;)

Nah. I have mine out for pretty long periods of time sometimes. They just sit in my lap while I watch tv. As far as temperature goes, if you're holding them they have your body heat anyways.

This whole thread could be in the out of context thread hahaha.

Its ok to take out and handle your balls for long periods of time. I would suggest not doing it in public though.

We kind of have a rule to only handle ours on the futon, since it is all one big cushion and can easily come apart. He always wants to get on the floor though.

Always sanitize before and after handling your balls.
