Is it hard to find adult corns for sale?
I'm wanting to get an adult corn snake as my 2nd snake (1st is a Ball Python) as sort of something to contrast the ball. I love my ball python, but I'd like to have another snake with a little more movement as well. I'm really wanting to get an adult or something that is big enough to really handle. I know baby corns are easily accessible, but are adults easy to find too? Also, anyone know of any breeders in Oklahoma? I was thinking I may be able to give a good home to a retired breeder snake. Gonna keep an eye out at the next show, but I'm not going to get my hopes up.

I saw a bunch of adult and sub-adult corns at the last expo I was at and I've seen them at local reptile shops too. Try kingsnake classified maybe - you can search by state.

They are a bit harder to find as adults rather than babies, I would try Kingsnake or an Expo as well.

As much as everyone on here seems to despise craigslist it usually is a decent place to find older/non baby snakes. People get them for there kids at pet stores, expos, etc and after a few months or a year the kid loses interest and the parents end up getting rid of them. I see them quit often in my area. Troll CL and see what you find. However you may want someone with a good bit of knowledge to go with you to heatlh check the animal. There's a few more not so honest people outside of this community. Good luck.

I second going to an expo. The NARBC is going to be in Dallas in February and I know there's an Oklahoma reptile expo (I just can't think of the name off the top of my head). I usually see several adults at shows. You can always find breeders and just ask if they have adults for sale. Sometimes they might surprise you.

What's a good price for an adult normal cornsnake? I don't want to get ripped off. I know more about BPs and their morphs than corns, but I'm not looking for any special morph. It's going to be strictly a pet. I saw a 1 year old normal for $75.

EDIT: I have been going to the Oklahoma show. It's next month, I was just shopping around until then to see what I can find. The show is actually almost walking distance from where I live.

I priced mine as 75 and she's just a normal. I don't know if that is too high or not. I have been to the tulsa show a few times and did see a couple okeetees that are maybe a hundred grams away from being of adult size. But other than those, I didn't see any. There isn't even that many baby corns, and the ones that are there, are very common morphs. It's that way for both the tulsa show and okc show. I don't think there is much of a market for corns in oklahoma, yet.

I guess it really depends. I have a yearling female I've got for sale. I'm selling her for cheap just on craigslist. No hits yet (well...hits that don't follow through). I've not found a huge market for corns, unfortunately.

Thanks for all the answers guys! I'm hoping I can find one at the expo next month (which seems like it's ages away). I'll post some pictures after I get my corn!
