    where are my eggs?
been reading some posts about first time breeders wanting to know when to expect eggs. so here's a little info for you.

on 1/4/13 I ultrasounded my females. the one pastel female only had about 6 to 7 mm follicles. nowhere near the size for a male yet. the male i'm using in this breeding, most of his females aren't ready yet either. so I decided to throw him in with her, hopefully to help stimulate some follicle growth. on 1/5/13 the day after I ultrasounded, I placed him with her. she started tail wagging and scenting her enclosure all up. the next morning 1/6/13 today, they are in a good lock. so I'm posting this with what I've seen, and even when you see positive breeding signs. hold on, breeding can take a long time. the best time to start placing a male is about 12 to 15 mm. she didn't even start her follicle growth yet. but I hope it will be soon. I hope this info helps some thats just starting to breed understand a little more. relax, the eggs will come when ready. just keep on pairing.
