    Another new guy with questions
    Hey,

I just picked up my first BP (he's just shy of two months old) today and I'm coming from owning a Corn Snake. I had an unfortunate escape and death with my Corn and realized I needed a thicker/bigger snake so it wouldn't escape the small electrical cord holes in its cage. The guy I bought him from said he feeds him one fuzzy (rat) a week. I'm wondering if its okay to try and feed him two pinky mice instead since I still have some from my corn snake? Obviously not a problem if its better to just stick with the fuzzy rats. I want to give him some time to get use to the cage he's in, but once they're comfortable how often do you handle them/ I've heard of some people letting theirs our to explore the house or backyard? Temps in the cage are 89-90 degrees on the hot side and 82-83 degrees on the cool side, with humidity around 45-50%.

Any help with this is greatly appreciated!

    The Serpent Merchant
Pinky mice are too small for BP's you should start them on hopper mice or fuzzy rats.

I don't have a set amount of time that I handle mine but as long as the snake is eating and is healthy you can handle your snake as you see fit.

If you haven't already check out these 2 threads. They cover all of the basics and are a great start:
