Breeding rats in your snake room
Would it cause any problems with ball pythons to breed rats in the same room that they are kept in? Could it cause more stress? Bad feeding response? Thanks.

Nope. In my personal experience, my snakes have a better feeding response due to the rats.

I haven't had any issues, except for when Boo got out and knocked over the mouse cage...

I raise Norways & just recently started raising a Soft Fur colony in the same room as my snakes. Hasn't made a bit of difference in their feeding responses one way or the other.

I do this and they always feed fine. I feel sometimes they even feel the rats moving and smell them and come out and start looking for food lol

Ok thanks. I think my biggest concern is that the would be hunting more often cruising around their tubs getting more stressed out

I have done it until 2 and a half years ago due to the lack of space without any issue.

No problems. My only issue is that my "zoo" room is very small, so I have to be careful to keep the snakes from trying to pick their next meal ahead of time XD
