Just bought f10 and it expires in 11 months?

I just received my f10 from reptile basics and it say it expires 12/13 on the bottle. I have read everywhere that it's good for 3 years from when it's manufactured. Is this just an old bottle? I wouldn't expect that coming from reptile basics and it being a high demand product.

Perhaps you should contact Rich at Reptile Basics and ask him? Did you order more than you can use in a year?

200 ml. I think it could last me a couple years.

I just checked mine it expires in July 2014. It is good for three years from the manufacture date.

The half bottle I have left expires in 3 months. I got it about 6 months ago.

I wonder if Rich knows about this? I know Reptile Basics just started carrying it about a year ago, give or take a couple months if I remember right.

I would have for sure ordered the smallest bottle if I would have known this. It says no where on the bottle when it was manufactured. Regardless if I get 11 months out of this product I still feel like it isn't that expensive

I sent John Berry (N. American + Europe distributer) an email asking about this issue. The response I got back is this.

"Hi Alex,

F10 is actually fine past the expiry date. It has been tested to be stable and effective for much longer than is shown on the container. They just have to print an expiry date for regulations however it still works fine past it.

That doesn't really tell us much unfortunately. Any idea on how far past the expiration date?

I popped a second email to John for you.

"I personally wouldn't worry about up to a year past the expiry date on F10. One of the F10 company directors told me it doesn't break down and is still active long past the expiry date. I don't however think anyone could give a specific time as it would depend on how its been stored, at what temperature etc.

The next time you order from whom ever, you may ask if they can ship F10 close to the manufacturing date. It is dated for three years, larger groups may go through it faster and not care about the expiry dates. It sounds like a supplier issue.

The bottle I recieved yesterday of F10 had a sticker on it stating its good three years past the printed date. Hope that help
