Stressed bumblebee, don't know why

I understand a lot of you are tub users but he is basically in a tub now so im hoping you can help Me.
Kali in the viv on the left is wonderful. Eats like a monster and sleeps like a sloth.
Bumblebee however, I have not seen sleep in the 3 weeks I have owned him.
I've managed to get him to feed twice (by placing the rat in the hide and leaving him in darkness for an hour).

However, he is CONSTANTLY roaming - and with the spider 'head wobble' it looks even more stressful....... :(

Temps are 90 above heat mat, 78 on cool side and 80 ambient. Humitity generally about 40. I also keep 3 sides of the tub covered. I am currently waiting for digital thermometer to come in post.

What am I doing wrong guys? :(

I had the same problem with my bee 2 years ago and someone here told me to try two hides one on the hot side and one on the cool side and a water dish and it worked my little bee settled right in.Now he has on hide but its worth a shot ..Good luck.

The house is a hide so he has two hides :(

update: I just covered the tank fully, maybe this will feel more secure than covering it with a towel.

Does anyone else have any suggestions? Could it be that his head wobble is causing issues?

No his wobble won't be stressing him out. To them it's normal

Is the house hide on the warm or cool side?

Might want to try a different shape hide. Or make them both equal.

Well, three weeks is still pretty new. If you are handling him, back off and leave him alone for a week. Let him settle in. Also, two matching, snug and secure hides, one on hot side, one on cool side. Matching hides will ensure that he isn't picking one over the other for security issues. Covering tank/tub as you did is a good idea too.

The house is on hot side. I like your idea of having two same hides. Perhaps niether of them are snug enough. He has spent no time in either of them; I am a student so I am home all day to watch him wobble around. :(

I'd triple check the temps inside the hides as well as the humidity once the digital arrives.
