2 large Rats in a 10 gallon tank
Is it inhumane to have 2 large rats in a 10 gallon tank?

    Long term? I'd say so.

    Short term Probably not.

I have two large males that I'd never put in a ten gallon alone let alone together haha but they are big boys. But tens are kinda small for two rats I've used them for birthing moms and litters tbo

10 gallons is too small for large rats, even one. I'd go for a 20 long at the smallest.

    Ditto.

Short-term/temporary housing (i.e. travel, birthing/nursing, overnight, quarantine, that kind of thing) it wouldn't be ideal, but it would probably be ok.

    Long-term, not ok.
