What does this mean?
The warm side of my tank is 85-90 and the cool side is between 75 - 80 my bp is directly in the center coiled loosely between his water bowl and the back of his tank. It's not like him to lay exposed in the daytime, so what could be wrong?
-
He's hot, he could just be trying to cool down. Are you sure your temps are correct? How are you measuring them? Remember snakes and reptiles know how to chose what temp they like best since they been thermoregulating themselves for millions of years.
-
hes fine. hes behind the waterbowl, thats hiding enough. the temp he wants is probably right in the middle where he is.

Thanks for the negative rep mr python. But I am curious why did you give me negative rep? With the description "wrong" which part of my post was wrong if you do not mind me asking?
-
I have two digital thermometers, one on each side of his tank, velcroed to the back wall towards the bottom. I do not use an uth, his heat source is a basking light and a heat lamp during the day and just the heat lamp at night.
-
Ok, then ill stand by my post he is probably warm and decided to go to the cooler side, this time of year a lot of ball pythons decided to lay on the cold size of their cage/tub.
Maybe I should not say that since mr python might tell me I'm wrong again with no reasoning behind it.
-
Well, thank you both. I was just curious because he's never chosen to lay dead center of the tank and his temps haven't been changed and never fluctuate more than a few degrees.

Gave you a point back.
Your post was fine.
Mr. Python, neg reps aren't for posts whom you disagree with. They're for foul language and inappropriate content against the TOS.
If everyone on a public forum gave a neg rep for every disagreed post, everyone would be in the negatives. This forum is to discuss BPs. If you find Instincts's post wrong, then please say so here and elaborate. I thought his reason was a valid possibility.

Thank you.
If neg rep was for post you disagree with I would have to hand out a lot of negatives for all those people that believe cinnamons are better than black pastels lol.
