What would you do?
So I've come across this pastel female, and I'm thinking about getting her. I plan on breeding her in the future with my fire male. She's being sold for 100. What would you do?

X2, I agree! She is already browning, will be a poor pastel for sure.

Look, ALL Pastels brown out. It's a fact. That is a normal looking pastel. If it's a female it is worth $100. If you like it then get it. Anyone who thinks they are going to find a normal pastel that isn't going to brown out is going to be very unhappy when their pastel is older and at 2kg.

I'm not saying that pastels don't brown out. I am saying that pastel, at her young age, is already browning. Some pastels are much browner than others.

Quality plays a huge factor in my breeding. I would rather pay a couple extra dollars and get a quality pastel than a sub par pastel, as that example is.

I agree with this. No one is saying pastels don't brown eventually, but there are different levels. The OP is asking for opinions. My opinion is that, to make good quality pastel combos, you need a good quality pastel. I don't think this is one.

This exactly.

I would pass OP. She's pretty dirty and browned out already.
You want the best example of the morph if you want to breed. Breeding dirty looking snakes will only produce more dirty ones.

I too agree with Zombie.
All pastels brown out to a degree. But starting off with a poor quality one will just get worse with age.
Tessada, if you think that pastel is fine, then thats ok. I personally think its average at best.
I like my own pastels to be cleaner. My pastels didn't have that dirty brown above the yellow at that age.

I have to disagree that all pastels brown out.

Same pastel a few days before shed.
