Thought I'd share my newest purchase.
I just bought these two today and I thought I'd share it here :) They are both Het Lav and Het Pied a male and female. ALthough they are both around 150g I wont be able to breed em for awhile lol. I am just curious on your thoughts on these. I paid $200 for them together. The parents of both are 100% Het Pied from one parent and 100% Lav from the other parent. What are the odds on what I could eventually get when I breed these two in the future. I will post pictures in the morning to. TIA :)

If both parents are DH Pied Lav...Yours are poss het for both genes...You could produce Pieds, Lavs, Pied Lavs, or just Normals...

Unfortunately if both sets of parents are hets, then the offspring are possible hets until proven out. But hey, raise them up and pair them together. You never know.

Sorry for the pic size, can't figure out how to make them bigger without lossing focus. I took these on my cell phone.

If the parents weren't visual recessives (pied x lavender or dreamsicle x anything) then the hets you have are 66% het pied/lavender (or 50% or possibly 0%). There's a possibility you will get normals, hets (more normals), and maybe a visual if they happen to have the genes to match up (maybe one is het lav, but not het pied, while the other is a double het)

Who knows? Maybe someday you'll have the $200 dreamsicle :P

They are bothe 66% Het Pied and 66% Het Lav, if that makes any sense lol. I'm still new to this but these were my choice to buy since my hubby chose the other 12 ball pythons we have lol.

it's a gamble, but for 200 dollars you really can't go wrong.

50% hets is a long shot. Good luck on proving them out :gj:
