    Quick prey size question?
I just got my first BCI, and I know that they generally eat smaller prey than a BP of similar weight. Because I like to be precise about stuff like this, I was wondering if there was a rule like the 10-15 percent body weight rule for BPs? I was thinking that about 10 percent is good for a young BCI, but figured that I would make sure.

    Thanks,

I've fed my younger boas the 10-15% rule without problems, but eyeballing is fine too for BCIs. I don't recommend feeding more than 7 days for younger boas. Once my guys got bigger the percentage rule got thrown out and I only eyeballed feeders.

The prey should not leave a noticeable bump. That seems to be the most common rule of thumb I have come across for boas.
