Best temp gun under $100

Just checked my AcuRites against each other, found a spread of 4 degrees :mad:

Please share your experiences with temp guns, which are good, any that should be avoided? I want to make the switch, but I don't want to spend a fortune. Thanks!

4 degrees between 2 Acu-rites actually means that they are working within their manufacturer specs. (+/- 2 degrees)

The 412L and 412LX are both very good.

I just feel like it's too much variance for comfort, I can't be sure if my hot spots are at 90 or 94. Thanks for the link, I'll check those two out.

I have this model. Works great. And i find myself just using it for other stuff around the house too. Well worth the $50 :gj:

You'll be surprised at how much fun it is to play with a temp gun. First time I got mine I was taking the temps of everything, including the cats, who didn't appreciate having the thermometer pressed against their heads.

You can also find them at home depot fairly reasonable
