Noob question, just bought a new BP and he has scab on his head?

I recently bought a BP and his previous owner said it was because of the humidity, he said that I would need to bath him so I have been doing that and keeping the humidity up so that it can heal but he has shedded twice and nothing has changed? He's starting his sheds by rubbing that part of his head on something rough. Yeah, low humidity makes it a little worse, but sometimes the humidity's fine. If he does it shed after shed after shed, he'll end up with a light-colored scar area on top of his head. I have a pretty adult pastel that's given herself one of those marks.

It's really common---it's not attractive, but it's also not usually a big deal. When he goes into shed next time, you should try to keep the humidity up, and you should remove all rough objects from his enclosure.

You might offer him cardboard shipping tubes as hides during shed. He can rub all he likes on cardboard, and he won't hurt his head. And then you can tear it up and throw it away, and give him back his usual hides.

It looks like its from him trying to rub his head for shedding and low humidity doesnt help. increase the humidity. also something ive done is give them a "bath" in warm water for about 15 minutes. This has worked for me in the past

I agree, it looks like he has been rubbing his head. Does he try to escape? Is there a crack where the lid fits on the tank that he thinks he can get through?

No the tank is intact and he has never tried to escape.

Also since I have gotten him his sheds have been less broken up and I have a water fog machine humidifier and Moss to keep the humidity up, and I bath him once or twice a week. So I'm hoping that will help

You really don't need the baths or the fogger when he's not in shed. They're not really jungle animals. (Though I do find that Florida-hatched babies have a harder time shedding when I get them to Arizona vs. locally-grown babies.)
