    Feeding problem?
I've got a roughly year old coastal carpet. I'm not sure if this is really normal but it doesn't seem that way to me. She wraps her fuzzys but doesn't completely kill them, then starts eating it. I'm thinking ill just switch to f/t. Any input would be great.

Try switching to ft I have a three year old (from what I'm told) and when she decides she want to eat she annilates the rats. How big is she? Mines almost seven

Mines about a foot and a half to two feet long. She's eaten every time for me. She just won't completely kill the food first.

She might just realize that they aren't a threat to her, so why waste the effort killing them? I have an adult IJ female that only had live before I got her. I only feed F/T, and she has never once struck them - she just starts swallowing the rat off tongs, or eats it a few minutes after I leave it outside the entrance to her hide.

That's what I'm thinking. She didn't wrap up rat pups but she kinda wraps up ASF fuzzys. She hasn't killed anything completely before swallowing it. She also will only eat when she's wrapped around a PVC pipe or something of the sort. Which I've heard is fairly normal for them. I'm going to try f/t on the next feeding. I'm not sure what she was being fed before I got her as she went from a breeder I frequent to the guy I got her from. I've lost contact with him since I got her.
