Leaving town, snakes still locked up
I have a pair that has been together since Wednesday. They started locking yesterday and are still locked. This male usually locks with a female in the first 24 hours and is done by the next day. I thought for sure they'd be apart by now.

Problem is i'm leaving town tonight and not going to be back until Tuesday. I'm going to have to leave them together while I'm gone. That will have been almost a full week from when I put them together. I usually don't leave them together for more than 3 or 4 days... Will it be a problem leaving them together that long?

If they stay locked then you'll have to leave them together. I don't think it will harm either of them, just take him out when you get home. Sometimes mine will unlock if I open the tub and touch them. Don't pry them apart, just touch them and see if the male unlocks.

If you poke at them a little theyll unlock, they adapted to do that if something disturbed them in the wild.
