Pushing Male

My male that's probably 2 years of age and is 1200 grams pushes on his tub like CRAZY day and night. He is always on the cool side of his tub trying to get out. He doesn't like to eat.. probably takes something small every three weeks. He went off feed for about 3 months (I attributed that to the 1k wall and I'm pretty sure he wants to get out looking for a female). He is starting to get a bump on his nose and I'm concerned about him. How can I stop his pushing?

hmm what i would do is put a towel or cloth around the edges of the tub, maybe the bump will go away, and i really am not sure how to 'stop' the pushing completely..

This totally sounds just like my male normal. He is 1338 grams and is a little over two years old. He always lays on the cold side of his tub and eats only when he feels like it. I have double and triple checked my temps on the hot side and they are just right. My male just refuses to lay on the hot side. Have you checked your hot side temps to make sure they are within the acceptable range and not to hot?

My male did the same thing and developed the same 'bump' from pushing on the tub. Turns out it was an infection and needed surgery and antibiotic injections. Keep and eye on him, give him hides. I found that taking mine out twice a day for awhile and let him hang out around my neck has stopped him from pushing so much so his nose could heal.

Yes I have.. Everyone else in the rack is fine too; perfectly content to sit on the warm side

I let my dad hold him the other day and after I put him back he was sleeping on the hot side for a few hours, I'll have to keep him busy. Thanks :)
