    A sad morning . . .
Today I discovered my baby red blood python had died. I got him about four weeks ago and he just wouldn't eat for me. I was going to attempt an assisted feed this weekend, but I guess I was just too late. RIP "Louis"

    That sucks.
Is it the blood that was in the same cage as your new Bp?
    I'd get a necropsy

I really think he just starved to death. He was about half the girth as the picture shown. I was told it's best to keep him in a tub to reduce stress until he gets bigger. Yes he was sharing the 20 gal long with my spider/mojave who is doing great. Todays task: total cleanout of that terrarium. I guess my next investment needs to be a rack system. Just have to take this as a lesson I guess. There's a VET in my building at work. I'm gonna talk to him, but I don't plan on a necropsy.

I would definately get a necropsy done, and keep an eye on your ball that he was sharing with. Quarantine is done for a reason, hopefully he didn't give anything to your ball. I'm sorry you lost him. :( You may want to get proper set ups, and a place for quarantine before you think about getting another.

I don't want to sound harsh, but why did you keep him in a shared 20gal tank, when you knew to keep him in a tub, and knew he wasn't eating (likely from the stress of his living situation)?!
