He threw up when I brought him home?
Hi, I just bought my first ball python today and he has only been here for a few hours and threw up his last mouse. The people I bought him from said today was feeding day so I assume he ate a week ago or so. I haven't fed him today as I will wait for a while for him to get used to his new home.

Could this just be stress from his new home? The temp on the hot side is 90 and 80 on the cool side, he's in a 20 gallon.

He is approx 5 months old.

    Thank you

It's probably stress...if today was feeding day, it's possible they fed him that day.. Leave him be in his cage for a week, then try feeding him, and he should be fine.

Don't try to feed him for 14 days. It needs time to rebuild the bacteria that is needed to digest food to rebound from a regurge..... Just leave it settle in.

I'd recommend you wait 2 weeks (rather than just one). No handling, no stress, and when you do try feeding, go a size or two smaller than you think he can handle.

x2 with waiting at least 2 weeks to feed and with an undersized feeder.
