    Mite life cycle?
I picked a new snake last Saturday and he appears to be settling in fine in the QT rack.

I have never had mites before so I was curious as to how long after you acquire a snake would you see mites? How long for eggs to hatch? He's a albino so I'm assuming it would be easier to see than on say my het albino. I have no reason to suspect anything and its going to sound weird but I had a dream about a mite outbreak so now it has me thinking:rolleyes:

Listen to your dreams, sometimes your brain picks up on things you don't even realize.

    Thanks for the link!

I'm hoping its just my mind working overtime with the holidays. I have not seen anything and I visually check on the snakes daily and also change the water every other day and change paper towels even if they are not dirty every few days so I'm hoping I would be able to catch them early if mites are present.

Typically mites don't lay on the snake they typically lay in substrate of outside all together.
