    Ball always in hide,
Hi , i just got my 1st ball python couple days ago . but i noticed he always stays in his hide, like i thik 70% of the time. is it normal?

And i 'm using a tub . i Drilled holes on both sides. The 1st day i put him in . i was still fixing the hide, before i put the hide into the tub , he keep moving around and tries to "push" the top cover . is it not enuff air ? coz i have 7 hole drilled on each length.

Very normal. Don't expect to see your BP out much at all. And yes they push. It isn't a sign that anything is wrong

A hidings ball is a happy ball. If your set up is good, don't expect your snake to be out and about much. They're not good display pets.

I was just afraid that he can't breathe thats why he keep push upwards. But i did drill around 14 airholes on the tub . Should i do so for the cover too?

Too many holes will make it hard to keep up humidity. It sounds like you put in enough, so I wouldn't worry.

sometimes he sits on top of his hide, but i only noticed this a couple of times. As i keep him in a tub in my bedroom . If im up at night , i normally use a towel/cloth to cover the the tub so its dark and not too bright . i can only keep him in my room .
