    Herpetology
    Greetings!
Hello, wonderful people of the forum! I can't wait to get to know you guys!

First thing you should know about me is that like all of you, I am addicted to herpetology and herps. I tend to lean towards reptiles over amphibians, and in reptiles I tend to lean towards snakes over lizards, but I still find them all really amazing.

I am not a new snake owner, but my original collection... well, long story short, I had them stolen from me. Thousands of dollars worth of gear and herps, countless hours spent with them, all gone to god knows where. As you can probably guess, I was heartbroken and completely crush. I felt like I had lost my children. I couldn't be around snakes for like a month without crying. Even the thought gives me pain.

So, this shall be the last time I mention it. But on a better note, I still have one snake from my original collection, Pi a normal, female, ball python. I'm guessing she escaped from her tub when they were removing the snakes, and I found her on top of the laundry machine (it was warm) on a cold night months afterwards. You could definitely say I was in euphoria when I found her. She is my only ball python at this moment, but I'm getting some more soon.

Anyways, my current collection is gorgeous, and I love them very much. We are family :)

Overall though, my experience with animals really ranges and includes nearly everything, even though I have much, much, much to learn. I hope to be able to contribute to the community in any way that I can.

I look forward to meeting you guys.

Welcome!!! Sorry to hear about your collection being stolen. I know that it would kill me if mine was. Best of luck with your new collection, and can't wait to see some pics of it.

Welcome to the forum! Having animals taken from you is so difficult, I hope you're able to enjoy building your new collection, and be sure to share lots of photos! (We all love staring at each other's balls here :gj: )
