    New to rack systems
Right now I have two Ball Pythons, and I'll be getting one more. I want to use a rack system because glass tanks are bulky and I've been having no luck keeping the temps/humidity up. The problem is, most websites that carry premade rack systems are larger than I want, for example the smallest rack system I've found is 4 or 5 tubs high. Are there any that carry smaller rack sizes?

Just get a 4 tub rack. You know you'll need the extra room. ;)

I think I'm going to order from Animal Plastics. They always seem to get good reviews and it comes with the heat included

Yea i think you have to buy the tubs though. Theyre still really good. I have an older AP rack and love it.

I also had a question about the heat tape. Does it stick to the rack itself or the tubs?

It's on the rack, so the tub will sit ontop and have a hotspot

Keep in mind that racks are dependent on the temperature of the room that they are in. Racks require a room to be heated to 75-80 degrees year round.

If you are having temperature problems it might be better to look into PVC cages instead.

With the rack that I'm getting, it has spots for three tubs. I'm not getting my third snake until the Spring so I'll only be using two shelves until then, but the heat tape that comes with the rack goes to all three levels. Will that be a problem if I have one shelf open? With the heat tape I mean

Nope. I only have 3/5 slots filled in my rack and I've had no issues
